Well after being gone for over two years now I have returned! Basically I took a break from video games and the got into WoW for about 10 months. During which time I saw all there was of WoW except BWL and have even killed Ragnaros 5 times =).

I had grown bored with WoW and was looking into the other options out there, I was invited into DDO beta and checked out EQ 2. Unforunatle the poopy Dell PC I had wasnt good enough for me to play DDO beta or to play EQ 2 so I just ordered a new Alienware PC to play EQ 2. One night while looking at the EQ 2 forums I got reminicent of my days playing EQ for Mac so I dropped by the forums, and to my suprise, they were up!

I recognized some people and was amazed people still played! I decided to load EQ back onto my Mac and logged on today and was instantly welcomed by my wonderfull DC guildies! =) It all kinda made me sad when I remembered how I was forced to leave EQ when I went to college (the Mac belonged to my family). I wish I never had to leave and could have been there for all those great moments this closely knit server has experienced!

I still have my 50 dwarf Paladin named Duxo, and my 54 HE Bard named Selo and look forward to playing them both. I also wanted to try these 3 classes: Ranger, Beast Lord, and Monk as I never really had the time to try them and they allways seemed fun when watching others play them. Is it allot faster leveling Alts with the 20% xp bonus? I think I will play my bard to help DC (and others if anyone needs a 54 bard) on request, but for now I really need to start a new character a bit to get back in the swing of things in the game, I actually forgot most of the controls! I didnt even remember how to zoom out the camera! (a MUST for bard kiting)

Well I just realized there really isnt any "point" to this thread, and I forgot why I made it in the suggestions forums in the first place! (watching adult swim while making a post is very distracting). Well glad to be back anyway! Yay!

Its good to be back! I remeber you both and am happy to see you still play! I was on today from 9-12 PST but couldnt seem to find anyone =(. Hopefully later more people will be on as I would like to do some solid grouping! (since I just came back I feel I could use a break from spending hours running in circles kiting in PoD)

Right! that was my original suggestion was to raise the XP bonus! Since we are a very small community and it appears most everyone is 65 allready I think it would be nice if the process of grinding out levels werent as time consuming. Allowing people to make alts of other classes they have an interest in without needing to spend nearly a year to reach 65 (with some class defining AA's like dire charm).

Perhaps something cool like a 300% bonus to xp! Even though that seems like a huge number it will still take a good long while for certain classes to reach 65! But this way if we have new members join our community it wont take them so long to reach the level of the rest of us (that and with the lack of lower members it is VERY VERY HARD for them to find groups for anything). I tried a wood elf ranger alt and I couldnt find a single person to group with at all. I think a HUGE xp increase would do this server good and may attract new members since it wont be as much of a grind, what do you think? Maybe even more that that? 500%?

Something must be done to get characters to raiding level faster as there isnt a community base for lower level characters, its mighty lonely =(. The only other option really is to try and find people to power level you (which an xp bonus would help with as well). Any thoughts?

First, welcome back Duxo.

Second....
I think the Suggestions forum is specifically for suggestions for this website (eqmac.com). SOE won't a) read this forum, nor b) give a rats ass about us. We play the game as is because we love to play this game. The ball is in SOE's court to hire a Mac programmer/developer to further advance our corner of Norrath.

Thats really sad  Is there anyway for us to contact SOE if not through these forums? I hope that they will show an interest in us more than just collecting our monthly dues. I think some tweaks and adjustments to our server would be very helpfull and may attract new customers no less.

How was the 20% xp bonus implemented? Let me know if there is someone I can email or call to get SOE to show some extra interest in our small community and I will gladly do so!

I am back and I will gladly work hard and make sacrifices to help our server! If we can get some of these changes going I would even be willing to shell out the cash to get expansions for our server by paying SOE personally a set amount to have expansions available for Mac as a free download! (maybe a few grand) Let me know what I can do!

No. Edit: Let me tone the "No" down. SOE doesn't respond to emails or posts on the official eqmac forums or even their EQ-Mac section on their site.

Very doubtful, although there is a Guide program now compared to two years ago and we are getting petititons taken care of in a fairly timely manner, unlike many months ago when it would take another few months to get any responses if ever.

Dreams are good to have. Just remember that's all it is for now.

Hobart patched it in? How else can it be implemented?

Please email me and I'll let you know where to send your money.

Seriously, just playing EQ-Mac is probably the best support you can show. Anything else is purely icing on the cake. Sure, it'd be nice to get support but we're beyond expecting much. See ya soon! :)

Well I just saw GM Marroc on and I asked how I could contact SOE he said to send an email too eqfeedback@soe.sony.com. But first what I wanted to do was to simply form a list of wants and concerns and place them at the top of a thread. And then to get a /sign of as many EQ Mac members as possible so i could link the thread to SOE in my email.

If players really want changes to occur it will require a High percentage of people to /sign the thread. But for now please list your concerns and wants here and I will combine them for all to see and consider before making the /sign thread. :)

i am glad you are showing some concerns about the server, in short you will be going in circles, and end up not going anywhere, if there is anything that could be changed or done, we are the one who will do it, not SOE.

Hope you've been working on your programing skills and have been in talks with SOE to take over EQ for Mac.
