Sorry if it came off that i wasn't appreciate the work Hobart is doing, it's just the opposite!

The other guys only jerked us around, which left nothing but a mess!

Now, Hobart, on the other hand, has been communicating & working with us - hence, the lover analogy, you know, to do well it takes 2, hehe.

I for one, am VERY appreciative of his work.

Hobart took a risk with this plan -- the other option was continuing to struggle with the test server and put the patch off.

I personally am happy to give up some hours of play -- even primetime play -- for him to be working on this, rather than sitting around waiting for the test server to work.

He's got quite the task ahead of him, and it's *not* trivial to be coding on a platform you have no experience with. I think he's done a damn fine job, and the communication here, in particular, has been tremendous.

I'm just giving the news. It's ok with the Test Server being down, but Hobart did take quite a risk doing it, got hit by it, but is working it out.

Server is now reporting down, but at least I can get to the character screen. Can't *connect* with any character (PoK and Kaladim are reported as down), but at least we have progress.

BTW, has SOE and Hobart checked their local Apple Stores and CompUSAs recently? I believe they may be still carrying the Everquest Mac client. Shadowbane is the one that has almost gone off the shelves.

Final note - Hobart may be backing out this update now. The client version is back to it's old version (1.0.4), not the new funny version.
