After some research and a lot of waiting, we are ready to take on the Tangrin.

Everyone please meet in Field of Bone by the PoK book.

All attending please try to have Magic Resist above 100. He procs an effect called Monkey Stun on those that get aggro that stuns you for 20 secs and does between 200 and 235 damage.

He is highly Magic resistant, but Fire spells are good against him and Cold will get partial resists.

Also, he runs with Bard Speed and is rumoured to summon, so this is a fight til your dead mob.

Min level I would suggest be low 40's. Max level maybe 60. He is a level 54 mob.

Drops could include Etched Signet (Research Component), Sands of the Mystics (Enchanter Epic), Spell: Acumen (SHM/BST), Spell: Draught of Jiva (WIZ), Spell: Regrowth of the Grove (DRU).

Only the appropriate classes will be rolling for these items and only those that attend will be eligible. The only Exception is the Shaman Spell which will go to Uttama if it drops.

If someone of the appropriate class is not available, the Poets will loot said item, though we will make every effort to find a Chanter to get the Epic piece if one is not present. (Although, I have been asked by Deths if he could attend so his Chanter could have a shot at it.)

Uttama and I play in a space rock quartet named The Sailing out of Dayton Ohio. We have a song called "The Downbringer" about a pissy little creature who lives on a tiny island radiating negative energy and plodding along in his lonely exsistance. It's an inside joke within the band to come up with rediculous names for the Dowbringer, like Prawnbanger and Stewtabaker. When Uttama was a much lower level, he was exploring the coast of the Field Of Bone when he came accross The Tangrin. He was immediately destroyed of course, but snapped a screenshot right before his demise. He showed it to the rest of the band, and we all agreed that The Tangrin is the Downbringer of Norrath, and that we must destroy him. The guild has finally grown to a point where we can (hopefully) take him on. So there you go, it's all about space rock.
