Sanctuary and The Frozen Poets have been discussing trying to get a raid going with our two guilds. We have suggested a few places and I have gone to some of them.

What I would like is for someone to designate a target. That's all I need. If it is something I haven't seen, I will need someone to guide the raid to the target. I will gladly lead a raid, but I would like our guilds to figure out what we want to hit.

As far as I can tell, the general consensus is that we would be mostly 30-40 level characters with some 20's thrown in. I know the poets have only a few people over 40 and, AFAIK, only one over 50.

I am commited to running a raid, even if it gets everyone killed, I would like to start getting something going with our guilds.

Taivo and I figured this would be the best place to get the discussions going since most of our members have an EQMac.com account already.

not necessarily one specific target but perhaps a series of targets, a "dungeon crawl".

Everybody has been there at one point or another the place looks complecs,but it is really easy to get around of couse ower goal would be

Tesch Val Kadvem who drops Vacra Av Svim (Rare) and rarely Tesch Val Deval'Nmak who drops Kisch Der Pavz (Rare)

Being that they are the worst things to come across on your own. Of course you can look at this and say were not really ready for something that does not have a # for the Highest Lvl, but there thats my two cents worth.

I'm in (RL permitting).

Either Lower Guk or Splitpaw seem like they would be fine targets. I think we might want to see what sort of force we can muster and then make a final call. Lower Guk seems like it's a bit more dangerous, and it would probably be good to have several rezzers available. I've been to Splitpaw many times (though not often too deep) and it's managable with a good group, so I'd say we'd be safe with just about any raid-size lvl 35ish force.

Another option for a dungeon-crawl style raid is Kaesora. It has a very nice XP bonus, lots of nice class drops (a CLR shield I've been drooling after, spirit tomes for casters, some decent robes, daggers, swords, etc), and it's very doable for anywhere from a group to a small raid at this level. With a raid I think we could do some camping for loot and also clear the dungeon to the big baddie all in one evening.

I can't think of any single-target type areas at this level. I'm open to that type of raid if that's what we go with, but at this level, to get the most loot and XP for everyone, a dungeon crawls would probably be the way to go, I think. Though I could be wrong. Not a lot of raid experience here.

What about Sol A as a dungen crawl?? There are some interesting drops and an xp bonus, although the other two suggested are great too.

From the Frozen Poets, I am certain I could get Uttama and myself, possibly Brunello and Saxxon, probably Love.

From Sanctuary, I can nearly guarantee Panteria.

Solis has expressed interest in raiding with us. Depending on time and day, we may also be able to rely on him for rezzes, though he is guildless. I would expect that he would ask for some sort of compensation.

Splitpaw sounds good. Most of us have been there, just never been passed the first set of rooms. Most of the drops are worth money and XP is decent.

As far as time when it could be done, I would have to say on a weekend. My schedule permits me to play only in the wee hours of the morning exceot on weekends, when I can play all day. I am guessing that Saturday would be good for most of us.

I believe we've discussesd the best Raid times before, and it was decided to be Sunday afternoons. If this is a problem, i'm sure we can work something out.

Most weekends are ok for me. Given enough advance notice I should be able to do either a Sat or Sun raid (as several others have already mentioned, though, this weekend is out). I can also do most weeknights, but I'd have a little less time to play (unless it was a Friday night).

I've never been to Sol A, but I hear it's fun, so that would be fine with me. Or Lower Guk, or deep Splitpaw, or Kaesora. Whatever. I'm mainly in it for the XP at this point, but nice loot is always a bonus

I can handle normal rezzes myself (up to 60% now. Woohoo!). It would be nice to have another cleric or a pally around in case I get killed myself, though. I hate hauling my nekkid elf bum across Norrath. Speaking of which, Solis is good people. He tossed me a rezz in CC, for which I was VERY grateful. Talk about a potential nasty CR! It would be great to have him along. No arguments from me there.
