The winner of the 1-15 lvl event is gonna be a beastlord i bet.

You should look at what lvl's each class gets there new skills. Beastlord gets it at 15. druid 14 wiz mafe necro and chanter 12. pally sk 14. SK may do well too.

good point on that...Bl's get a lvl 16 pet and with lightning proc and your 2 buffs a bl can whip anyone's a**

Edit:For the high leveled ones you may want to widen the area a bit lest the crowd get caught in AE spells and die in droves..
Can we bet on these things?
If so I put 20 plat on Cadsuane for the win...I have complete faith in Necros lol

Is it possible for a new division? 60+?? those low 50s would get wiped by those 60+. also, What's the position on buffs? Could a toon get buffed up the wazoo before entering the arena? i guess there's no real way of controling buffs though.

<edit: was too tired to find my mistakes when i typed this. fixed some now.>

I'm just curious if youre going to post additional rules for this fight? i.e Area allowed to fight (Platform only or whole arena). What can and can not be used (right clicks? yes? no?) etc. Those type of things are fairly important :-)

What I would like to know is how about buffs gotten from other players before fight? Is that legal or if not how can this be enforced?

When they step in the arena just have a higher lvl player cast Cancel magic on them to rid them of all buffs. then let them buff there self.

Well you wanted it, now here it is. The rules for the Battle Royal

EQMac Battle Royal Ruleset:

This free-for-all PvP competition is open to ALL. The competition
will take place in the arena off lake Rathetear.

- All competitors must keep an LFG flag on during the course of the
competition to avoid cooperation and teaming.

- The last one standing will be declared the winner.

- There is to be no combat or offensive spell casting prior to the event
starting.

- Competitors will be dispelled prior to combat and any pets up at that time must be dismissed.

- After being dispelled, competitors will be given the opportunity to
buff themselves and summon pets as they wish. After the buffing period has ended, mana will be restored.

- You will NOT be allowed to buff others. This is to prevent teaming. If you are caught buffing others, you AND the buff recipient will be disqualified.

- All items and special abilities are allowed.

- Climbing the spires is not acceptable, and will result in disqualification.

- Spectators will be required to remain outside the PVP enabled area.

- Competitors must remain in the PvP area of the arena at all times.
However, combat may be further restricted to the raised platform section
in the center of the arena at any time during the competition at the
discretion of the GM or Khama.

- Competitors can enter more than one character, but no more than one per battle

That it for now, unless I come up with some more prior to the battle. You will be notified of any changes.

Hope to see you all there!

I hope the GM will be offering full exp resses to those who die to DoTs? Even in the arena you will loose exp if you die to a DoT.

This sounds cool. I'm not sure I understand all of the implications as I'm only a newbie - level 9 Warrior. But if I show up (1pm PST = 5am here!). I soulbind near the arena and wait for a broadcast message to enter? Head on in and fight for my life! Sounds great fun. :D

OK due to some concerns that were brought to my attention, I have been forced to reorganize the fights into different levels.

I am sorry if this now puts you at a disadvantage in the new grouping, but it is required in order to but a little balance into the higher level fights. The new battle groups are as follows.

1) Levels 1 - 19
2) Levels 21 - 35
3) Levels 36 - 49
4) Levels 50 - 59
5) Levels 60 +

Unfortunately, I only have 5 prizes to give away this month, therefore I had to limit the fighting to 5 groups instead of 6.

This is a FREE event for all !!! Hope to see you there on Sat !
