Hi friens! I'm looking to complete the shaman Cannibalize II quest. Link is here:

The "Powder of Yun" from Froglok Yun Shamans in Trakanon's Teeth is the part I am stuck on.

I've done a little hunting around in TT on my tracker, and there appears to be a very strange phenomenon occurring. Whenever a froglok spawns, it will begin wandering around (this is normal). But, immediately upon encountering any of the wildlife NPCs (thorn, tiger, raptor, etc.), the froglok will begin to attack them (or vice-versia, I'm not really sure).

Anyways, this seems to be happening throughout the zone. The net effect of all this is that as soon as any froglok spawns, it will just die shortly afterwords to the wildlife!

When I first got to the zone, I wandered around a bit and there didn't appear to be ANY Yun shamans up at all, only Tsu shamans and Tal shamans. So, I decided to kill the Tsu/Tal shamans on the off-chance that it would spawn some Yuns. It was a pain finding them, and by the time I got to them, 100% of the time they were already engaged by a tiger or whatnot. I ended out DPSing the wildlife a few times (therefore making an actual corpse), but instead of spawning more frogloks it seems to stop spawning altogether! As I type this I have been wandering around TT for the past 30 mins, unable to find any frogloks at all.

Between the bugged faction war, the despawning of all froggies, and the total absence of any Yun shaman in the zone, does anyone have any solutions for all this? Thanks. =(

Change the balance of power *kill stuff* and soon frogloks are everywhere

I ran around every inch of that zone off and on for weeks without finding any. Finally I set my alarm clock for very early the morning of a server reset. I had the drop in less than 5 minutes.

Next reset is Wednesday, January 27th. I don't recall what time the reset generally occurs - I probably set my alarm for around 4 or 5 a.m. Pacific time.

Thank you Rysia!!!!!! Me and Gum spent an hour in the zone yesterday to no avail and I was ready to give up completely, so this info is greatly appreciated. =)))))))))

Monday I had gone to the zone and killed off lots of the wildlife (about 2 hours) and all of the wildlife names hoping that would help. When I left, there were frolok shamans all over the place. However I wasn't noticing what type of shamans they were. I'm a bit surprised that by Tuesday night the wildlife were in charge again.

To clarify, I killed off about 90% of the wildlife and was successful in getting froggies to spawn, but no Yuns. Yuns are supposed to be a common spawn (IIRC), so I'm thinking maybe they don't respawn on this server for some reason.

Bumping this. Anyone know what the status of the Yun Shamans is? Mukk is looking to complete this quest soon, and knowledge of whether he should bother or not would be useful.

I'd say if he really wants the spell, see if he can enlist the help of a tracker and try early in the morning of December 28th, the next reset. I didn't level my shaman up very quickly, so I found it useful. If I remember correctly, you can MQ this. I think I had part of it on my rogue, and my druid got the rest. I went the ground spawn route for the crushed diamonds.

Just a small update, I ran through TT on 6/25 (a reset day) at approx. 5PM Eastern and had no problem finding any Yuns at all. First one I killed dropped the powder.

I never did get Cannibalize 2 - I was 54 and high enough for Canni 3 before I could get the drops. I still have everything in the bank for the quest - maybe I'll set the alarm for after a reset one day and finish it.

You don't need to wait until the reset. Just kill all the crap in the area, eventually frogs will start spawning, once they spawn, don't kill them right away, just keep killing the other crap until there's enough frogs to kill off the other stuff and stay up. Then rape away. Or if the frogs needed spawn kill em as they spawn and leave the other frogs. Just takes a little patience.

That's how I did it.
