Hello everyone!

I'll be hosting a Grimling War open raid on Sunday, May 6th at noon EST.

If we have the forces, we'll attempt to pop back to back to back Grimling High Commanders and have peeps loot his arm in the following order:

Illicit (I have Illict`s box to start the raid).
Mechaike
Myrbob
Lyrad
Miztig
Ravenwing
Break
Zamiel
Fanglore
Utdaan

In addition, he drops two exceptional endgame weapons along with some other nice, but not great caster loot. Those will be randomed off via Destiny loot rules. See Lyrad and Manlee for links of the weapons in game. (Yes, the buff basically lasts forever according to them and stacks with almost everything.)

Should we lack sufficient force for the Grimling War, we'll be hitting Inner AC and attempting the Archmage Ring first, then the Summoner Ring, then Foreman Event and if all goes well open the way to what I think will be the final boss, although there may be other raids to get to him along the way.

The minimum raid level for this will be 49, but it's flexible. (Low level kiters in Grimling are VERY nice for grabbing lots of mobs and training to the AoE teams).


The ultimate goal barring getting some exceptional weapons off of the High Commander is to finally make it to Takahashi. (A secondary goal of mine is to loot each boss/event enough to fully learn its loot table. I think we've done the Foreman Ring enough to know his full drop table). Of note, we might have to kill all three events in Inner AC in a very tight time frame to open the way to Takahashi. Killing the Foreman and the Witchdoctor within what I felt was a quick enough time frame did not open the way to Takahasi.

A big thanks to everyone that came out! We'll get him to spawn next time.

Also a BIG thanks to Zamiel. He ran 4 enchanters doing chain AoE stun locking AND I saw him rezzing and healing peeps too boot.

We definitely need more non-boxed enchanters and PBAE nukers. I know I was giving praise to my mana robe for keeping me supplied enough to nuke added to Dire's mana song.

For the mages out there, please get level 51 Scintillation. That is your go to spell for PBAE. This is a quested (turn-ins) in either Firiona Vie or Overthere. Details here: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/spel ... spell=1659

Gnostica, do you know why we failed on the Arch Mage in Inner AC? I recall you mentioning that we probably needed someone to stand in proximity to the Arch Mage.

Overall, it was good fun and I look forward to the next attempt and more people participating.

See the room marked with #25 on this map viewtopic.php?f=25&t=10619 ? The center of that room (marked with the letter S) is lower than the outer edges and when you click on it, it gives you a message that it is locked and you are not holding the key. There are lines leading into room 26 via some sort of tunnel or bridge maybe? My suspicion is that it requires the key that the Enchanted Acrylia Smelting Pot is used to make. I can't recall offhand what's supposed to go into that key, but I'm sure that we've killed almost every mob in IA and haven't seen any of them yet.

I was looking peeking through the walls on the last raid. What it appears will happen is the locked floor in room 25 will slide open, revealing a staircase down into room 26. There are still quite a few (including a couple named), but untargettable, mobs on the way to, and in, room 25 which I am guessing when all three events have been completed we will see become targettable and one way or another grant us further access.

We know we can beat each event, I think it's just time to schedule a day and time, publicize it, and make this happen. =)
