Hello everyone!

I'll be hosting a Grimling War open raid on Sunday, April 29th at noon EST.

If we have the forces, we'll attempt to pop back to back to back Grimling High Commanders and have peeps loot his arm in the following order:

Illicit (I have Illict`s box to start the raid).
Mechaike
Myrbob
Lyrad
Miztig
Ravenwing
Break
Zamiel
Fanglore
Utdaan

In addition, he drops two exceptional endgame weapons along with some other nice, but not great caster loot. Those will be randomed off via Destiny loot rules. See Lyrad and Manlee for links of the weapons in game. (Yes, the buff basically lasts forever according to them and stacks with almost everything.)

Should we lack sufficient force for the Grimling War, we'll be hitting Inner AC and attempting the Archmage Ring first if we have enough AoE.

The minimum raid level for this will be 49, but it's flexible. (Low level kiters in Grimling are VERY nice for grabbing lots of mobs and training to the AoE teams).

Fear not, should you miss this raid time, I'll be hosting another raid on Sunday, May 6th at noon, EST. (That one I'll be pulling an all nighter before work the next day, but it's after a long holiday). We'll be doing the Grimling War if we have enough force and Inner AC if not.

The ultimate goal barring getting some exceptional weapons off of the High Commander is to finally loot the Archmage and make it to Takahashi. (A secondary goal of mine is to loot each boss/event enough to fully learn its loot table. I think we've done the Foreman Ring enough to know his full drop table). Of note, we might have to kill all three events in Inner AC in a very tight time frame to open the way to Takahashi. Killing the Foreman and the Witchdoctor within what I felt was a quick enough time frame did not open the way to Takahasi.

this sounds fun as hell. after doing some recent exploration in the "open to all" sections of AC (including getting ported to the lava pit a couple times!) and looking up more info on Inner Acrylia, it's by far the coolest zone in luclin.

Dang it on Temerity`s raid night. I can change the raid to noon EST and post a PST time later in the year. (The raid realistically needs about 50 peeps and most of the peeps waiting on keys are Tems.) If there is enough interest, we`ll stick to the PST time, if not I`ll switch it to a Euro friendly time.

As is, I posted this raid to be at a PST friendly time specifically as ALL the other AC/Grimling raids have been on Euro friendly times and I`d much rather have it be 50/50, but alas RL has almost always stopped me from doing so until this time.

/em checks her schedule...

I can likely host a Grimling War on a PST friendly time on the following dates:

July 15th (I might be flying to Canada on that date.)
September 16th
October 7th
December 23rd (I might be flying that date..., bad date in general)

If someone in Temerity can check and let me know if I got lucky or struck out like for the 29th, it`d be appreciated.

Hobart said he might fix the key so we get the stats and the effect, BUT it was WAY down on his list of things to do.

I hope we chew through the list of peeps that need his arm quickly. On one raid we got three GHCs to pop within 15 minutes of each other, while on another night, we spent 2 to two and a half hours killing and totally dominating the raid and not a single pop.

July 15 - Sunday. No raids
Sept 16 - Sunday, raid scheduled
Oct 7 - Sunday. Just Bijaz's birthday. Nothing important. ;)
Dec 23 - Sunday, raid scheduled

Corrected. I need to stop posting so damned late at night. :?

Humm, says Sunday for all of those dates on my calendar. Admittedly it's in Japanese Kanji, but the dates should be Sunday.

Yup...2012....

However, my brain was no longer functioning that late at night. The calendar I've been using for RL is set to a Sunday thru Saturday week. Tems calendar is Monday thru Sunday. /salute

No problem on that. I had to quintuple check my calendar in Japanese as I keep screwing up at work on their time sheet.

Barring something major happening in RL, I'll commit to the following raids/times:

Sunday, April 29th - Noon EST
Sunday, May 6th - Noon EST
Sunday, July 15th - 5 PM PST (We can start a little later if peeps want)
Sunday, Sept. 16th - Noon EST
Sunday, Oct. 7th - 5 PM PST (We can start later if peeps want)

If anyone is doing the three Grimling Forest raids (Danarin's Raid, Derrin's Raid, and Husman's Raid) for drops for the General's Challenge Quest please let me know. These raids also drop captured grimling documents I, II, and III which are needed for the 6th Vah Shir Cloak. I have 3 Vah Shir with the 5th cloak in need of these drops (bard, rogue, and warrior). I can help you with my cleric and warrior, you can have General's Challange drops and I just need the documents for the cloak quest. Please PM me here or send me a tell in game if you are interested in teaming up in this.

Glad to help out with those Theus.

Tigertugger I think is still the only peep on the server to do the 4th raid to get the Officer's Cloak. To the best of my knowledge no one has done the fifth raid and I think it'd be worth exploring. However, if you wipe on the forth or fifth raid, you have to redo ALL three raids, then the forth and fifth again.

If you complete the fifth raid, you can start the 6th raid, the same raid that the General's Challenge starts, (Grimling High Commander raid), but the General's Challenge is MUCH easier. However, you MUST do the first four raids if you want one of the Vah Shir cloaks.

As for the Grimling War, it looks like it's a go for Noon EST on Sunday. See peeps at raid time.

I soloed the first three Grimling Camp raids. The ones where you only have one camp to worry about. I destroyed the Captured Grimling Documents awhile ago to clear some bank space :(

Any VT geared 65 can solo them, the grimlings are like level 40 something. You just have to tag them before they start beating on the Vah Shir for awhile (or casting on them, casters were more dangerous than the melee types). I haven't attempted the split camp ones (4 and 5?), because I'm pretty sure I'd fail.

Pet can be infinitely useful in hitting those damn casters that stand on the hill and nuke down amidst all the chaos...
