Mouselook sensitivity in the vertical direction is much faster than in the horizontal direction. Adjusting the /mousespeed or slider in options does speed up and slow down the speed, but I need a way to speed up horizontal or slow down vertical only.

Searching this forum I've seen a couple other posts but no answers. Googling the problem shows me some PC client users have had the same problem and it went away by switching to different refresh rates. I have tried setting different refresh rates in the .ini file but there is no noticeable difference.

Curious if anyone has a fix or workaround.

I've only ever had this problem when playing on Windows servers, but if you add this to your eqclient.ini it might fix your issue:

vsync=TRUE

Hopefully that does it!

That did not make a difference Burden, but thank you for the advice.

Thankfully it is playable regardless. Wish I knew of a way to mess with the sensitivities of my mouse axis separately.

There were a lot of complaints about this from mouselook users just after the new intel client was released by Hobart. I'm not a mouselook user myself, but I believe Hobart fixed the issue in about the first week it was out - I don't hear any complaints about it any more.

Are you using the Mac Intel client? I'm guessing that you are not.

Out of curiosity, are you using a logitech mouse? I have heard that their devices are not the most mac friendly. (still debating on stealing my G15 keyboard for my mac to use)

Using a microsoft mouse. The fact that the vertical sensitivity is far greater than the horizontal is just as prevalent when I use the touchpad. A small movement of the mouse or touchpad can send the screen view from staring at a character's shoes to straight up in the sky, but I need to pickup the mouse a few times to get my character to spin all the way around.

Maybe mouselook has always been a bit wonky like this and it's only feeling weird now because I've been away 8 years :)

I stand corrected. I had trouble with Logitech device drivers as well. When my local Apple store finally found fast and furious errors in the log files referencing Logitech I removed them. I had been having periodic computer lockups lasting as long as 15 minutes before my character would be released from the game. No more Logitech - no more troubles.

Their software for mice has been trash for years. If you use a Razor mouse you can set independent sensitivity for X and Y axis, superior mice and software.
