Get stuck at initializing on chrome for some reason, wasn't happening before. No amount of clicking off the window will fix it either.

I'm crashing every time the game tries to load. I logged on one account after crashing once. But, after that I haven't had any luck using a few other of my accounts. I have tried Safari as well as Firefox.

EDIT : No clue what was happening. But, it seems to be working fine now.

Not a fix to AA's...a fix to the AA window where is was displaying a "String not found" message rather than the AA to purchase.

I am unable to get the game to patch. Can anyone help? I had SoE reactivate my account, or fix the error. Then the guy said there is no known issue with OSX Lion running EQ, however, Lion doesn't support PPC. I found here, and went to the in-browser client to get the game to patch and it's been sitting there saying "Initializing Game Content" for about 20 minutes now. I've tried clicking off and on several times, and nothing.

I even tried logging out and back in.

Are you using Safari? You might try that if not.

After some fiddling around, I was able to finally get the update. Basically I start the web login, when it sits at initializing, I found jumping over to Finder and back would download the client and bring up the play button. This worked for me in Safari, not sure about Firefox or Chrome.

I had to install the game in Safari but I can only launch it in Firefox. I imagine I could patch it in Firefox at this point now that it's been installed.
