I agree with Utdaan, DO NOT wait. Sony's reports were what 24.5 million users? So if they missed some emails that should not be a shock. Besides, there will prolly be a aftershock or 2nd wave with this. All these financial accounts get sold off and passed on some get used right away and some ID thieves will sit on the info and try using it again later on knowing that some people did not take action. Now several months later it looks like a random thing and not associated with the Sony issue. Just cancel your card and have new one issued make sure your passwords are different. 25 min worth of work or the hassle of having to spend maybe years fixing a Identity theft problem....

B of A canceled my card, and is sending me a new one overnight no charge. Good service from them.

Took me 3 weeks to get a new card from Chase the last time I had to cancel my card. I'll roll my dice this time.

Oh it was 100% USPS's fault, not Chase's.

Cancelled my US card from the UK. Yeah, that was a fun phone call. Next step, calling my bank directly to get a new card shipped overseas. Awesome.

Judah I use Chase also but since they raised their fees and such back in feb I went more with my ING account, besides I get interest on both savings and checking which chase does not do. ING told me about 7 days, thats pretty standard. Yeah this all sucks but Like I said when sony gets their crap together I am going to any where you can buy a prepaid Visa and get one then load it with 50$ and toss 15 on it a month unless I bring back my 2nd account. I think now is a good time to use that "buffer". This happens again let some one try to buy 4 big screen lcd tv's with a card with 43.47$ on it. Maybe the disappointment will teach them to heist peoples credit cards?
