Has anyone ever tried to determine if EQMac runs better on different versions of OS X and if so, which version seemed to come out on top?

This is just what I have gleaned from various posts-

For systems with lower ram, 10.3 is better. (this OS doesn't consume as much memory)

If you have ram coming out of your ears, 10.4 and up is fine, as well. (Those OS's have bells and whistles that consume more memory)

How do you downgrade from 10.4 to 10.3?

I have never found a way thats really easy and painless other than completely formating and reinstall of the OS you want.

WIth the advancements in Cocoa I would highly suggest sticking with 10.5 since it will continue to still get officially supported by many third party software. 10.4 and below is a dying breed due to there lack of supporting many Cocoa based applications which are smaller, run faster, and need less system resources.

10.5 is the last OS that will support ppc Apple computers. You might want to take this into account when shopping for new computers if you want to do something on a mac instead of just gaming.
