I have been playing with and enjoying this hotbutton window I recently finished that lets you access open container slots without having to actually open the container. It put the final touch on my much improved rangering world thanks to Maktubs Po2 work!! I don't plan on making changes atm but if it helps someone else out then please enjoy it.

* About this Hotbutton Modification

- Poweroftwo 2.00 compatible and compliant
- Thanks to Maktub and Wizman for the original models this was a take-off from
- It was born out of my previously cluttered screen area, the dislike of always having to have a bag open, reopening the bag upon zoning, and items not being aligned for quick mouse movement. The size of this window was driven by where it is positioned on my screen. It is the exact size of the Po2 group and actions window when positioned side by side.
- Its tailored for a melee player who often switches many items between several slots
- Raid and group tested with now ill effects

* Open Container Inventory Slots

- Grants access to 10 items in your LOWER RIGHT main inventory slot (if a 10 slot container is equipped, slots are on the right side of the hot button window)
- See warning below for use with less than a 10 slot container in the lower right inventory slot

*Player Stats

- All player stats are visible in the stat box
- ATK, AC, numbers are separated out for high visibility
-XP and AA numbers listed as percents

*Inventory Slots (Center of Hotbutton window below the stats, Wizman's original layout)

- 15 Inventory slots are available
- 8 are the players container slots (Center icons on the hotbutton window)
- The 7 remaining slots can be assigned to whatever inventory slot you want access to.(Refer to Maktubs guide on changes to hotbutton slots) This code is not the same as the default poweroftwo 2.00 hot button window. The code you will look for is arranged by columns left to right up to down. If you wanted to change your primary item you would scroll down the hotbutton xml code with your text editor and then change the <EQTYPE> number to the new number, and the <BACKGROUND> to the new name. (Again refer to Maktub's eqtype chart) Save your changes when complete. If you scroll further down you will see the next two columns follow the same format. The code you will see for the first column on the left will look like this
Code:
<!-- Inventory Bag Slots and Clickies Column 1 -->

   <InvSlot item = "InvSlot30">
      <ScreenID>InvSlot30</ScreenID>
      <RelativePosition>true</RelativePosition>

   </InvSlot>

   <InvSlot item = "InvSlot33">
      <ScreenID>InvSlot33</ScreenID>
      <RelativePosition>true</RelativePosition>
      <Location>
         <X>114</X>
         <Y>192</Y>
      </Location>
      <Size>
         <CX>32</CX>
         <CY>32</CY>
      </Size>
      <Background>A_RecessedBox</Background>
      <EQType>25</EQType>
   </InvSlot>

<!-- Primary Slot -->

   <InvSlot item = "InvSlot34">
      <ScreenID>InvSlot34</ScreenID>
      <RelativePosition>true</RelativePosition>
      <Location>
         <X>114</X>
         <Y>226</Y>
      </Location>
      <Size>

         <CY>32</CY>

      <Background>A_InvPrimary</Background>
      <EQType>13</EQType>
   </InvSlot>

- Below is the current mapping of inventory slots.
---------------------
| inv | inv | face |
---------------------
| inv | inv | back |
---------------------
| inv | inv | hand |
---------------------
| inv |*inv*|ammo|
---------------------
| pri | 2nd | rng |
---------------------

*inv* slot = The container displayed in the open container slots

*OPEN CONTAINER SLOT WARNINGS - CRASH TO DESKTOP CAN OCCUR

* The available container slots grant access to 10 slots. If you equip a less than 10 slot container there the slots still show and items can be placed into them. Doing so essentially takes the place of any other open inventory slots you may have.

* Items placed in the slots beyond your containers capacity will not cause a crash to desktop until doing so would cause you to have reached your characters maximum ACTUAL available inventory capacity. EQ will count one of these slots as you cursor inventory slot if you have reached you maximum capicity. So if you then pick up a stacked item from your inventory and place it on your cursor EQ will crash to the desktop. In testing of this no items were lost to date, upon relog the items are stacked back wherever they may fit in your inventory. The item that was taking up your cursor inventory slot in the open container slots will now be on your cursor.

*When switching your lower right inventory containers (which shows in the open container slots) all items remain visible in the slots until a new container is placed in the lower right inventory slot. Prior to placing the new container in this slot the items show but can not be used or moved, you can click on them but nothing will happen. This applies to items still visible upon a death.

*IN SHORT USE ONLY A 10 SLOT CONTAINER FOR THIS SLOT AND NO PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN ENCOUNTERED

*Install instructions

1) Download file
2) Create a folder and title it what you please, HB_Mod for example
3) Place the this EQUI_HotButtonWnd.xml file into this folder, COPY the folder
4) Open your Poweroftwo 2.00 UI folder, Open the "optional files" folder, Open the "hot buttons" folder and paste your new folder
into the "hot buttons" folder.
5) COPY the EQUI_HotButtonWnd.xml inside your new folder and paste it into your poweroftwo UI folder. (Maktub has a copy of his
default hotbutton window inside the optional files so switching back is easy.)

Thanks for the work on this. I have a character that I believe this will be helpful to have for him. I'll test it when I get home this afternoon.

Just got round to looking at this since i have been putting together my own UI, decided in the end to use poweroftwo as my base, This has come in really handy, all my often used but bagged clickies are down the right side of my hotbutton window now for easy access :)

Cheers Echo!
