I tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling the game to see if that made a difference, still no luck. What makes my game so different that it will not load ui's?!?! I'm about to just give up since no one knows how to fix this. Am I the only one who's ever had this problem???

Try running the application from within the /Applications/ folder where it was intended to be, it could be an issue with permissions since you have it located in the user folders (Desktop)

Ok I moved my game back to the applications folder, and ui's still won't load. I'm guessing it's an unknown problem that will never be solved at this point, and no one knows what it is since they've never had any problems loading ui's it just works for them.

The most common mistake at this point for you is to assume that it's an unknown problem, when in truth there is more of a chance you're just doing something wrong. Not criticism, just a larger change at this point.

Try setting one of your other UI's as the default in the ini file, then when starting EQ see if the UI comes up, whether there are any error messages in game, and finally check your logs for other messages. You should also check the privileges for the UI folders, shouldn't be an issue but no one here knows how you've setup your machine. This isn't something that others have had issues with, so continue to find the differences between your setup and others and you'll most likely find the issue.

I have tried setting all my ui's as the default in the ini, and the permissions for the uifiles folder is read and write.
Here is some of my UIErrors.txt but some of the items it says not found are in the folder.

Any ideas yet? Is there something wrong with my setup? I'll be forever grateful to whoever finds the solution for me.

Can you screenshot the contents of your VeliousMac folder? It seems to looks as though there are missing .tga files for the window components included with that UI.

Yes, but if thats the case then why won't any other UI I download work? I downloaded the VeliousMac UI from http://www.eqinterface.com/downloads/fi ... hp?id=6313

Ok, so this is interesting, error messages. Clear your UIErrors.txt log, set something other than Default as the default UI, start eq and after getting a single character loaded in game quit the game and then post the entire UIErrors.txt file.

Most of the UI's on eqinterface don't work here on Al'Kabor without some (sometimes little, sometimes a lot) conversion based on changes made in the UI after PoP.

No.

First, eqinterface should still have a Mac area, in there you will find a few UI's that will work unmodified here on Al'Kabor.

Second, the VeliousMac UI that you showed above is from a different version of the UI, quite frankly can't see that it is a Mac version of anything.

Third, as a simple test, compare your default UI contents with other UI's you download. If there are extra files, names that aren't in the default, there's some chance the UI will require modification to work on Al'Kabor.

Start with something posted here, maybe the Power of Two interface.

I've already tried the poweroftwo ui and that didn't work for me.

Poweroftwo is working well for a lot of folks here.
If everything is in the correct directories, the next reasonable explanation would be a permissions problem that prevents the files from loading. In fact, the Mac GUI for managing permissions is an oversimplification of the underlying Unix file permission system.
One thing you can try, if you haven't already, is to run permissions validation and repair in your disk utility.
A solid approach would be for you to get poweroftwo working first, because it is a skin that is known to work. Don't trust the Veliious skin.
