We lost quite a bit of data when featureprice self-destructed.

I've been a developer for many years, and I've seen my share of technical problems. For the most part, I know how to solve the problems. This is the first time i've encountered "The employees literally kicked the crap out of your server."

Evidently, there's some exciting stuff going on in Florida. The attorney general is investigating how featureprice sold service to people that they never intended to provide. There's all kinds of stuff with lawyers and subpoenas, investigative reporting, and other stuff that must be really exciting for Law and Order fans.

I'm imagining a young, inexperienced yet passionate district attorney trying to explain to the jury how featureprice screwed over eqmac.com, while some diabolical defense attorney tries to confuse them with meaningless technical and legal jargon, before going outside to intentionally blow cigar smoke into a baby's eyes.

We're at a reputable hosting provider, so this will not happen again.

Well I just want to say, thank Mith Marr this site's forums are back! I was really missing them.

what plans will the Tribunal have in store for the people at featureprice? I shutter to think of the horible torture... perhaps SWG on a 2600 modem?

I dont know if you downloaded the video from the NBC investigation in Florida, but the whole thing makes me laugh. If you didnt, the NBC reporter went to the offices of Featureprice and you see about 5 stacks of boxes taller than people and about 3 people working. Its really no suprise that people had bad service for the past few months.

Then when the reporters got inside to talk to employees there, one guy droped his pants and exposed himself. I seriously fell out of my chair when I saw and heard that!! Why, oh why would you drop your pants over Featureprice? I mean, sure the company has problems, but is it really worth flashing all the NBC viewers over!

I believe in karma, Featureprice will get what's coming to it. It is what lets me sleep at night.

and for those of you who dont believe in karma, theres always pills, even though they make you look like

some people love their jobs, some hate them, and for the rest of us, we just get through it knowing we have goblins to kill back home.

Sorry to hear about the server mess but so glad to see you are back, even if all my incredibly helpful and intellergent posts are gone and lost forever.

Anyway, glad you're forums are back - they were missed - and talk about bad timing........
