We lost quite a bit of data when featureprice
self-destructed.
I've been a developer for many years, and I've seen my share of technical problems. For the most part, I know how to solve the problems. This is the first time i've encountered "The employees literally kicked the crap out of your server."
Evidently, there's some exciting stuff going on in Florida. The
attorney general is investigating how featureprice sold service to people that they never intended to provide. There's all kinds of stuff with lawyers and subpoenas,
investigative reporting, and other stuff that must be really exciting for Law and Order fans.
I'm imagining a young, inexperienced yet passionate district attorney trying to explain to the jury how featureprice screwed over eqmac.com, while some diabolical defense attorney tries to confuse them with meaningless technical and legal jargon, before going outside to intentionally blow cigar smoke into a baby's eyes.
We're at a reputable hosting provider, so this will not happen again.
