Not a whole lot of time to weigh in on those particular specs, but you need 1MB ram, preferably 2MB... I run with 1MB and its groovy.

As far as your last question, you can use your old account info, but you will have to activate it at the SoE site for EQ for Macintosh, which will give you a 10 day free trial. Or you can create a new account and download the game, the game is free... for 10 days.

Good luck, and welcome to Al Kabor!

#3 looks like the best option. You'll need to max out the RAM to 1GB (single stick) and play with old models. The Airport card is your wireless card. It will connect to your wifi just fine.

EQMac has a 15 day free trial, btw. The game download is also free.

well that one quickly went up in price so how about this truly cheep one?

Apple Power Macintosh G4 500MHz/1GB RAM/25GB HDD/Mac OSX10.4 w/17"CRT - $50
Apple Power Macintosh G4
Apple Power Macintosh G4 500 MHz with 1GB SDRAM and 25GB hard drive. Video card is an ATI Pro Rage 128 (16-bit) with VGA and DVI ports, 2 USB (1.0), 2 Firewire 400 and tray loading DVD-RAM drive. Mac OSX 10.4 "Tiger" is loaded with the system. I can give you iLife '05 disks, but it is not installed on the system.

A black Apple mouse comes with it, but i do not have the USB keyboard. You can see more information on this Power Mac here.

Viewsonic A70 17" CRT Monitor
The CRT monitor is a Viewsonic A70 model. The size is 17" with a 16" viewable area. The monitor was used in a post production house for 2 years and is working great.

other info can be seen here.
Looking for $50 for the Power Mac w/ the Monitor and would like to make the exchange close to the Sterling Heights area. If your interested, please email me! thanks for looking!

I know it's not the best but do you think it will be ok?

That's really on the low end. If you want to do any raiding, you should pass.

$50 is hard to beat though...

Not sure if you ever ended up with anything, but I bought an eMac 1.4ghz system with 512MB of memory and a 40GB HD for $149 + free shipping on eBay. I already have some spare RAM I can throw in to max it out at 2GB. I haven't gotten it yet, but from what I've read it's a bang up system for EQMac. Comes with Tiger 10.4.

The eMac is for my Kindergarten-age son though... well, and for my wife to play EQ with me when he's in bed... she just doesn't know that yet... haha.

None of those systems look particularly good for the price for EQ.

Look for an eMac with the ATI Radeon 9600 card, or a PowerMac with atleast a g4 933 MHZ Processor, 1 GB RAM, and a video card with 64 MBs of V-RAM

You can find an eMac with those specs for around 150 bucks, and the powermacs for around 150-200 bucks.
