Looking around at options to try out EQmac, instead of buying one I may try running a virtual mac on my PC.

Anyone doing this or know how well it will work, if it will at all ?

There are walk thrus of people putting Mac OS on a virtual PC on a PC.

Going to try and hackintosh my old Dell E510, there's a walk thru so hopefully it'll work out

*I* didn't make the forum rules. Read your PM's. If I didn't remove it, then Nikolai would have.

And when I said "Won't work", I was referring to using software (i.e. similar to Parallels on the Mac to run Windows) to run EQMac. People have tried, and the performance hit makes it unplayable. The OP stated Virtual Mac, not Hackintosh. If he had asked about a Hackintosh, I would have stoped the thread there.

If you can show me documentation which will supersede the clear references to "Apple-branded" and "Mac" hardware only in section 2 of the EULA for Lion (at: http://images.apple.com/legal/sla/docs/macosx107.pdf), I will amend the current rules as to what is allowable usage of legally-obtained copies of the Mac OS.

Until then, discussions of hardware running MacEQ must be limited to only those stated in the EULA.
