I've heard that in other games like eq that I thought would be great here, and would give insentive to do trade skills, is to put a marker in the inspection window saying who made the item, some of course are sold by vendors and were generated by eq, but say someone forges a dagger or a piece of armor, it would be cool to be able to see your name in the window. Then as the population gets bigger and people start selling off or tradeing items, you can see how it's changed hands (not the name on item though) as well as see who the Grandmaster Smithes are and who's manufacturing stuff out in the game. i.e. "Forged Dagger - Smithed by: (Char Name Here) or Studded Leather - Tailored By: (Char Name Here) or Elvish Wine - Brewed By: (Char Name Here) What do you all thing about that?

something similar is implemented in EQPC after LOY. ...... Charms. We will just have to wait till they release that expansion to us.

What exactly is a "Charms", and how is it going to work when we finally get it?

That is a great concept. Would that apply to fisherman making lures and such as well? Also, I'm hoping we get a combined expansion pack to bring our server up to date as the PC ones. Legend of Ykesha, Gates of Discord and etc. Perhaps along with the Most important expansion of all A sound system that works in the game. Tah dah? Anyhow, that would be awesome. Cheers! :D

Not that it will happen but yes, anything created by a player should be able to put his name on it for everyone to know that he/she made it. That was the idea anyway. :D

It's a great idea but it would create a gigantic headache. It was proposed upon the PC side several times and each time it was shot down as unnecessary. Think of it another way, if you have 2000 tradeskillers on the server making 1000 different items, that's quite the database to hold the information on what was made by whom. Nice idea, not real plausable.

Charms are a new item slot. Each charm has different effects, some cool, some not.

Charm example: Gains power the more like classes you are grouped with.
Charm example: Gains power the longer you spend within a zone.
Charm example: Gains power as you gain faction with xxxx.
Charm example: Gains power the less items you are carrying.

All charms so far are all NODROP.

When they changed the PC side to let people into Tier2+ dependant upon level, they decided to give something to those that EARNED their way in and that was the PoP charm. This charm basically made ALL OTHER charms obsolete. Good thinking, eh?
