Could we get a Library forum or Guides forum created? I have submitted several guides and after a few weeks they disappear. Any new members will never see them. Others have submitted similar useful stuff that could benefit from being located in one home where it won't disappear.

you probably just have to get down on your hands and knees and beg Nikoli to move them to classic posts. I know I try to link to good posts in the Sanctuary library, but that only reaches Sanctuary members. Would be nice to see more of the guides make it into either classic posts or even better have a seperate forum for guides as you suggest.

Yeah, yeah...It just means more work. When Khamma set up the site originally, he had an idea to link things like class and guides from the front page, instead of having a separate forum. However, since I don't know what he had in mind, I'll just take the easy way, and probably create a "Guide" forum.

If/when I do that, would you guys like the new section writable, possibly risking flame wars etc. in individual threads, or would you prefer that I lock all threads when I move them into the "Guide" section?

I would argue that you should not lock the posts. sometimes a guide does contain errors that others can correct, and often people can offer other valuable suggestions and idea and links on the location in question.

If any thing, i would argue for a sticky post within the forum advising that in this forum, ranting is not acceptable to any degree and posts that do not add anything to the topic, will be deleted. (of course that then brings in the question on the moderator, whats adds and what does not )

Ok, I added an "Al'Kabor Tactics" forum. I moved a few topics that fit. If anyone sees another thread that you think should be in there, bump it, and we can talk about moving it. I would like to find the thread with Dwin's spell data and move that in too, if someone wants to search and bump it, I'd appreciate it.

I am also considering deleting fluff posts from threads that I move in. Anyone have thoughts on that?

The name could be better, too. It's not dedicated to just tactics, of course. In fact, I don't expect too many tactics posts as opposed to zone info and maps, gear and spell info, and other Al'Kabor specific info. So, if someone has a better idea, I'm listening.
