Go to the Apple Menu (the blue apple in the upper left) and select About this Macintosh..
This shows you the version of OSX you are using and the amount of RAM installed.
Now, click the button the says something like More Info..

This will open up your System Profiler. Here is where you can find out anything and everything about your Macbook, including the type of video card and the memory. This is what people need in order to assist you. List the version of the OS, total RAM, and video card info here so that we can help.

If you launch the EQ app, after you enter your password, there is a button you can click for Game options. I believe that this is where you can turn off (or on) Mipmapping. Make it the opposite of what it currently is set. Then save and click Play.

Let us know if that works and list your specs so others with the same system can give you more tips.
