:?:

I noticed another EQ Mac website: http://maceq.info/forums/

I accidentally went there when I typed in the url inside-out. Should we invite them here? Do they know about this site?

Yes, I imagine a lot of people post on both sets of forums. I post on those forums at least. And I know that Brad posts on both.

I visited the site, and am glad I found EQmac first. This site is far superior.

(Not to mention I am comfortable with the PhP forum layout from other message boards I frequent. It feels comfortable here, like home *grin* )

I might head over there to read up on some of the posts, but I am going to try hard to refrain from posting there.

I'm so very sorry you had to go through that. ;)

The guy who runs the site bought eqmac.info, maceq.com, maceq.info, maceq.net, maceq.org, alkabor.com, alkabor.net, alkabor.org, alkabor.info, etc just before release, so i'm sure they know about eqmac.com.

The internet is pretty big though, there should be room for two eqmac sites.

I too had seen the other site, and think it is pretty bad. 95% of the posts are in a special 'beta-people' only section. And many of the other posts are "lets make a powerleveling quild". The beta-only section bothers me because it excludes any new people who have joined EQ since beta, who are the ones who MOST need boards like this one.

I love this site and will start recruiting my friends/guildies to come here.

Good day,

As I had stated previously, I also love this site!! Far superior to the alternatives. However, I don't think it would be wise to alienate the other site(s). We all need to work together to hlp EQ Mac succeed.

:D

Well, I agree, this site is *much* prettier. I couldn't have done better myself!

Well, it's too bad we can't collaborate somewhat, rather than say "we're better than you!" kinds of things. Like was said, the Mac community is too small to be bickering over this and that. And there is room for every kind of player, too, including the power-leveling kind (I could use some power leveling of my own right now. Sigh).

Doh! I'm pretty much repeating a couple of previous posters.

Ok, I have a suggestion: talk to the MacEQ person and ask them if it's ok to announce on this board an interesting thread they may have going, then post a link to *that* board for the thread. Of course, we don't have to post there, but we could. Besides, I'm sure you guys will get tired of my blather eventually, and I need someone else to pester.

It would be nice if Sony had a special Mac section on the official SOE site, but I'm sure we'd just get alot of PC trolls. Besides which, it seems they've screwed up my account and I can't post there, anyway (I can play fine, though).

Check out http://eqmac.universalrealms.com/forum/

It has a very nice forum...It even breaks down the different classes!

I'm a strong supporter of eqmac.com. Maceq.info is a horrible site used by sociopathic people with small genitalia. Their very existance threatens the core of the game we know and love, and their postings taint the very underpinnings of the internet itself.

Family. Love. Country. All these things mean nothing to the half-human monsters who make their home on maceq.info. When a child's laughter is silenced, when a old man dies alone and fearful, when anything of beauty and light in the eyes of God is destroyed forever, maceq.info grows stronger, and their reign of darkness and depair grows ever more powerful.

What motiviates sane people to carelessly throw their lives away by posting on maceq.info? The answer is simple: These creatures left sanity behind long, long ago. Pity them, fear them, hate them. They won't even be aware of it as they try to drown out the sounds of the screams by clawing off their own ears. For the love of all that is good and holy.... never post there. Never.

For your soul.

For us all.

I went to maceq.com once, and I heard the distant sound of Baby Jesus crying.

But on a more serious note, eqmac.com doesn't have much to worry
about, as you said Ganlarg, there's room for more than one Mac EQ site,
and besides the quality of the site speaks for itself.

And if you had enough foresight, you would have bought maceq.com
as well in the first place.
