When I start playing EQMac, what class should I be? Do you have enough Ogre Warriors? Maybe a chanter or shaman would help you? What classes are there few players of on the server?

Just a quick off-topic post: Zupmah, your avatar is showing up as a "Image Hosted by Tripod" generic picture. Tripod pages don't allow image linking.

From the "Profile" screen, you can upload your avatar to here, and then you'll see it on the forums.

Which newbie race quests are in the game? All, none, or some...my choice depends in part on which quests are in, and which are not.

Hope this isnt too vague...

Cheers

Newb Quests - I believe all of the races but the Erudites and one other have them and those two are going in the next PC patch on Wednesday.

Be whatever you want to be.

We could always use more Clerics!! One of the big three usually helps a lot - Enchanter, Warrior, or Cleric.

I havent noticed many Necromancers around... that might be a class we are lacking numbers in.

Ogres and Trolls also don't have newbie quests like other races. Erudites in Paineel (worshippers of the Faceless) have newbie quests, while Erudites from Erudin do not. If the PC side actually gets those quests soon, who knows when we will get those quests?

Iksar have different sorts of quests that involve a progression of items that level up as you accomplish parts of the quest.

What is being played? I can tell you what I've seen when I've sat around and looked at the visible numbers (with /who all CLASS).
Of the healers, the most that I see are Druid and Cleric. Shaman numbers seem to be half the number of Druids or Clerics.

Of the melee classes, the most that I see are Rangers, followed by Paladins. Warriors are third. I think Rogues are slightly less than Warrior. Shadow Knight and Beastlord are few (more BST than SK), and Monk seems to be rare.

Of the INT-casters (Mag, Enc, Wiz, Nec), I've not been interested in the numbers. I'm fairly certain than Necromancers will be most popular, followed by Enchanter, followed by Mage, followed by Wizard.

Bards? Less of them than Warriors, more than SK, less than Druid/Cleric, more than Shaman.

Most played? Rangers, Paladins, Druids, Clerics (unsure about INT-casters relative to the rest). Least played? Shadow Knight, Monk.

With overall server population so low, just play what you want. Don't worry about filling a role.

I started in beta with a High Elf Wizard and found it too hard for a newbie that's never played. My second character was/is a Barbarian Beast Lord and I have thoroughly enjoyed this race/class combo. For a beginer, it's of lower dificulty and allows you to venture out on your own starting out.

I still want to experience the power of the Wiz. class so I will eventually try that when I feel more comfortable and have built a base of friends that can watch my back.

Just remember that whichever race/class you choose, if it doesn't seem to fit the way you like to play you can always try a diffirent combination.

Also could use more monks... best pullers once they get Feign Death.

Yeah, I know. They usually fill that role quite well, though. Rangers do a good job too.

Man I wish Vah Shir could go monk style.
