GM, on the front page, you have a Skill link called Jewelry Making. That's the wrong name. It's called Jewelcraft and there's a page that exists for it.

There's also an existing ZEM list.

The trick is to just link them all up to the new front page. Main reason I made the new front page was to make it easier for people to navigate through the wiki's content without having to rely entirely on the wiki search feature.

I'll see about linking those up.

It really is a brilliant resource, it just needs more contributors to flesh it out. I wanted to enter all the newbie armor quests but just don't have the time for it anymore.

I made a little contribution to the wiki. I downloaded all of the old casters realm Everquest class drawings and uploaded them to the wiki. Hoping there aren't going to be any copyright issues using them. Just thought it'd be a nice bit of nostalgia to add to the wiki.

Ok I linked the ZEM up to the front page.

Created articles for all the Deities and linked those articles to the respective god raid encounters (the ones I know about at least)

Created a section for Taverns of norrath and their unique paintings.


If others want to link stuff up to the front page please do. Thats just a basic format that I thought might be a good starting point.

I haven't looked at the dieties stuff yet, but I think biertrinker had done something with them. Now, I must admit, I had rolled my eyes at the tavern part - but reading that section of the wiki this morning, thats damn entertaining. It gives a hint of the world that Norrath is, and which MMORPG's have abandoned. Its small flavor, but its GOOD flavor.

Added some more content to the wiki today. BYaga brought to my attention that lists of spells for each class had already been made.

I linked in the enchanter spell set to the enchanter page. I'll work on other class pages at some point. Just wanted to get a good style on one page before I moved onto all the rest.

Added a section for the lore of norrath up to velious, if anybody is knowledgeable about Luclin or PoP lore please add on to the article ^^

Fixed some links on the main page.


Added a character classes section with general information on classes. (i wasn't sure what to classify beastlord as so somebody can please update that if there is a consensus on what it is)

Created redirects for every class title, for those of us who don't have them all memorized, can just search for a class title and the search will put you on the classes page. ie. a search for "preserver" will put you on the druid page.

Added a guide to Food and Drink.

Yeah I guess. I was trying to make it fit in with the format of the wiki but I suppose content is better than no content.

Yar, I labeled it as Jewelry Making because thats what its called in game. If you open up your skill box you will see it listed there.

However, I do agree that a Wiki should help you find what you are looking for, even if you mis-spell the word or search for a common slang term.

IE a search for Fungi Tunic should redirect you to the Fungus Covered Scale Tunic article.

I think similarly a search for Jewelcrafting / Jewelcraft should redirect to Jewelry Making but I'm open to whatever the community feels. I just like labeling things as they are in the game itself and work in slang common usage terms from there.

Did a few updates to the wiki today.

Added pre-planar, classic planar, and kunark gear reference articles.

Added a newbie guide and a pet guide. Both should be looked over by somebody more knowledgeable about EQMac but I think they should be mostly accurate. newbie guide could probably use some helpful information about PoP and Luclin hunting / farming spots.


Added a fairly incomplete list of items with clicky effects. Have to start somewhere but It could prove useful at some point. For now it isn't sortable but I'll work on making it into a sortable table at some point.

Update. I changed the Number of Articles Statistic on the front page from number of content pages to "all articles" including redirects and userpages because it more accurately reflects the amount of pages on the wiki.

Something about the templates used to create the various Item / Monster pages on the wiki doesn't currently recognize them as content pages.


Added some quest lists to the front page.. again they aren't comprehensive but a starting point is good.

Anybody have any thoughts on implementing one to slow down or stop the advertising spammers?

A CAPTCHA is that thingy that asks you a question before allowing account creation or saving changes to articles. For example it would ask what is 2 + 2 ? If you answer 4 your account is created.

Don't have experience with most of those, but I've used ReCaptcha on several websites and it works pretty well. At least, it pretty much stopped the automated spam; doesn't do much for the humans those companies pay to make spam posts, but those seem to be fewer.

How about using a list of questions that only an EQ player would be able to answer? Things like "what class is known for using a bow?" Or "What is the name of the tree city?"

Frankly, anyone who can't answer those questions shouldn't be editing the wiki.
