Wish I knew I could have picked up this domain.

Would of been ad free for life.

Jesus Christ, perhaps if there was this much solidarity in regards to other aspects of the community, there might be a better attitude in general on the server, towards "rival" guilds, new comers, Lrons, and so forth.

But a random Google Ad, on a site someone put up to help folks get info, brings out all the whiniest doomsayers and rabble rousers.

Seriously guys, perhaps educate and inform the public, join Alliance, instead of chastising folks after the fact. Take an active role, instead of arm chair quarterbacking "moral" and "ethical" minutia.

Lest we have to pull up the numerous examples of ironic and/or inappropriate ads that occur on many sites, often to similar comic effect.

Plus, who in their right mind doesn't have some manner of adblock running?

Judah and Utdaan maybe you two should tongue kiss, and your varying strains of self-righteous elitism will kill each other.

Or maybe instead of sarcastic BS replies being your M.O. Judah, perhaps you could say...reach out to the party in this thread, identified as the new host, and offer to host the site for free, maybe he put up ads to offset the cost.

No, don't do that, just moan, and complain and deride after the fact, much easier.

I'm an elitist for SUGGESTING that someone remove a link to a product that NO LONGER EXISTS? The link was to the old PPC product and to another "product" which is known to be used with a HACK CLIENT that is NOT sanctioned by SOE for use.

Seriously, go to hell.

This thread does seem a bit over the top. Its just an advertisement for an outdated eq expansion.

I wouldn't call them useless, probably just less useful than others.

Heck when I came back to eq to try out the progression server. I pulled out my old kunark discs, installed it, and logged in. My account only had kunark active but I will still able to go to PoP and lots of other places. Although it did take a while to for all the updates from the patch server lol.

The expansion set advertised on the site might not apply to eqmac per se but not everybody plays on a mac exclusively either.

I'm sure we can find something more worthy of our scorn than an advertisement lol.

Perhaps put up a PayPal donation bin? I'll send over a few bucks.

Tweeder is a fun person.

Given your status and and influence on these boards, when you use the word "need" it hardly looks like a "suggestion."

And furthermore, your argument is still a load of nonsense, just because people MAY use titanium for getting into EQMac, if it's for sale, it's for sale, unless you care to post SOE's official opinion on buying a packaged and distributed product, that while it may no longer be the most updated product, is still in warehouses unopened ready for use.

Of course using it for something ethically ambiguous is frowned upon, that's the nature of ambiguity.

If your first thought upon seeing an ad, for a legitimate product is to run for the hills screaming the sky is falling, instead of understanding that it's just an ad, you may need to take a breather.

And no you're elitist/arrogant/whatever negative things people say about you, because even when you're dead wrong, as in here, you still persist.

Admit your wrong, take some involvement in talking to the community other than denying your authoritative tone.

Not everyone visits these forums, or is privy to your "inside connections" with Hobart, and the much alluded to, but not directly stated stance on connecting to EQmac from PC's either.

So making these assumptions, and then judging or advising others based on them again makes you elitist/arrogant, and the like, because you're preaching from a TV on the pulpit, instead of showing up to church to greet the congregation.

I have no idea what you are talking about, but you sound butt-hurt.

Hahahaha. He does sound really butt-hurt. And not to get to ranty in this non rant forum but, it sure would suck if something happened to the server because of the aforementioned ambiguous use of a product.

As long as I've been away and this stuff is still going on? I'm curious as to why the PC client still works. Thought that was going away a long time ago.

First of all, EverQuest Macintosh Edition is not sold. It's a free download through the link provided here on these forums or at the official SOE EQMac forums.

Lol just because somebody out there may not have fully gotten how big a of a clueless hypocrite you are.

How does something which I have no control over make me a hypocrite? I don't have access to the home page to make adjustments. This also isn't MY website.

Go crawl back in your hole.
