As posted several places now, I've also updated the official stickied thread with the following link:

This is the official LP4 client. The older LP3 link will still function for a little while longer, but will no longer be updated by Hobart. Please change your launch setting to reflect the LP4 client since there is a lot more built in functionality, such as switching accounts without needing to quit the browser and Validate Game Assets to do a file check when you are having issues launching with the new launcher.

Hey guys,

I just reinstalled the LP on my fixed MB Air that I used to play on. When I log in (its the live LP right?) I get to the screen where you hit "Play" and then EQ Mac launches but it doesn't finish opening and gives me an error that says "Everquest has closed unexpectedly" with options to restart the application, report the closure, or cancel. Anyone have an idea what I'm doing wrong?

I just went to this link now and it is patching: https://lp.soe.com/eqmac/test/ (This is the test version that is used for multiplay right?)

Right now live and test are the same versions, but still separate clients, so you need to pick one and stick with it. With LP4, there is no need to use a separate client for boxing. My guess is that you're having an issue with Flash, so my suggestion is to use the Chrome browser (Flash is built in and always up to date) to launch EQ. You can also try to run a repair on the client following the instructions in this post:

Would be nice if the new launcher were a little more eqmac relevant with its ads (or better none of these at all).

Alotta things would be nicer. However, most things, like this, are simply irrelevant.

i, for one, would be fine with rogues only doing two thirds of the dps they have been doing for the past 9 years as long as we got some eqmac relevant ads in the launcher

Not sure if it is my timing, or something not right with the client for me. I keep getting error 0009, server not responding. LP3 isn't working for me either, but at least LP4 accepts credentials, just gives error when clicking on 'play'.
