Can't you just F8 and then drag the EQ window into the space you want? That's what I do when I accidentally open one of my sessions on the wrong screen.

If you are using lion then yes, using expose view (usually F9) will let you move them to a new desktop. Otherwise you have to launch the EQ instance in the space you want it by moving the browser there before you hit play.

When they overlap what I usually try and do is rightclick the icon in the hud at the bottom and click on 'desktop1' 'desktop2'... However that doesnt do anything.

When I expose tasks i cant seem to be able to drag. is F8 the default?
I also do close the browser @ forcequit and open it in the other space but that doesn't work. Sometimes it does. But rarely. And the max I have had were 2 instances each on a specific space.

I was just curious as to know if that was common and if there was a fix to it.
I'll try to drag the window again tonight through F8 but I doubt this is going to solve the issue..

thanks

It would help a whole lot if you would tell us what version of the OS you are using. The only one that allows you to drag an already launched EQ window is 10.7 (Lion), any others you are goign to have to launch them in the space you want them, period.

EQ locks the mouse into it's window, so command tab to Finder or some other app, then launch Expose view and you'll be able to drag them better.

Oh, good to know, maybe it's in 10.5 and before you can't move?

As long as you alt tab out of EQ to release the mouse, then yeh you can move instances around once you launch spaces.

No idea about 10.5.

Yeah I move them around in SL using F8 for Spaces. I just move to a non-EQ space, hit F8 to show all my spaces then drag the EQ windows whereever I want them.

I may end up writing a quick program that edits my eqclient.ini file to put the second instance back on monitor 2 and do what I used to do. Ug.

I'll take a copy of that. ;-)
