Hobart, will you be doing something about how long the planar projections stay up after killing a PoP progression mob?

Destiny killed Aeryn'Dar this past Saturday but only 1 person got the flag. The PP despawned while we were killing off the golems.

We don't need you to flag us or anything -- we'll just go kill AD again. But it would be nice if the PP would stay up long enough for a raid to kill off the golems and get any dead res'd.

It was discussed that this particular PP despawns 30 seconds after the first person hails it. I don't know if that's accurate. But I know Manlee was running around saying, "Does anyone see the Planar Progression" within about 2 minutes of the dragon dying.

We've had that happen on AD also. I don't know how long it stays up, but it's pretty important that nobody hails it until your raid is ready. Not sure how long it lasts if nobody hails, or until the first hail. It does disappear very fast once the hails start.

It's from first hail.

Rysia says it all. No one should ever hail a pp until the entire raid is ready.

Also, proper hailing ettiqute is:

1. NEVER hail until the raidleader gives the OK to hail.
1a. Be IN the raid.
2. NEVER be invis.
3. Be in close proximity to the pp (get all up in it's grill!!)
4. Hail ONLY once!!! Most planar projections will only give a limited number of flags.
4. If for some reason you think that you have messed up your hail, wait until all others are finished first. Don't make someone else miss a flag just because you screwed up! There is usually enough time for rehails.
5. Don't be fooled if the pp doesn't say anything to you!!! Several of them give no response and no yellow flagging text!! (Bert's pp is one of them...unless the CoD patch changed something) The best way to tell is to watch the pp when you hail. It will turn to face you on a successful hail.

Of course, Utdaan's Proper Hailing Etiquette is a set of rules we've learned to live by to minimize missed flags. Obviously, it would be nice if the PP's weren't so touchy and unforgiving :). At the very least, a *consistent* procedure would be nice (re yellow text or not, whether you have to be in the raid, or can't be in the raid, etc).

I can look into this. To help, please make a report of all the flagging NPC's that give NO confirmation and or have other issues.
