hi friens, can't sleep so i figure ill contribute to the thread with the games that i've been filling my spare hours with, and subsequently, the games that everyone else needs to be playing until eqmac is back up~
1)

- don't know what portal 2 is? watch this trailer:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A88YiZdXugA- i just played through both single player and coop modes
- basically every reviewer in the world agrees, this game is absolutely incredible, buy this game right now if you guys haven't, this is a fucking
masterpiece- $30 from amazon, $50 from steam
- if you haven't played through portal 1 already (shame on you wtf), you can buy portal 1 from steam for just an extra $5, and I would highly recommend that if you fall into this category
2)

- don't know what starcraft 2 is? watch this gameplay video:
http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/media/video ... y-overview- been out since july 2010, since then i've been playing on and off, i seem to get burnt out every now and then, but i always keep coming back
- can't say enough good things about this game... if you are into RTS (real time strategy) this is the game you want to play, addicting as hell and sooo competitive
- single player is fun but finite... most agree that the real value is in the multiplayer, as it has near infinite depth (always aspects of your play that need refining)
- $60 from either amazon or digital download
3)

- don't know what magicka is? its kind of a mix between diablo and castle crashers, watch this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mgn0WJFxWNI- $10 from steam / amazon
- some friends suckered me into buying this for an afternoon of gaming... TOTALLY worth it, our ventrilo was filled with laughter for literally hours on end
- single player is available, but really this is a game that you need to get 1-3 friends together to experience
that's it! i dont like other MMORPGS or FPS at all, but if i did you would probably see call of duty as #4 or something
book bonus:
4)

- from the guy who wrote "The Tipping Point", this is a collection of pieces that he did for the New Yorker
- $10 from amazon, or free from gladwell's website:
http://www.gladwell.com/archive.htmlmovie bonus:
5)

- the most entertaining 2 hours you will likely have this spring
- this movie is so ridiculous that I couldn't take it seriously, but that in turn made it all the more enjoyable
music bonus:
